Casa Perico Azul is named for the blue parakeet, and it was designed around the view. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors slide open so the living room, dining table and kitchen flow straight onto a covered terrace and a private pool looking out over forested hills.
Inside, warm wood ceilings, clean white walls and teak furniture keep things cool and calm. Every bedroom has air conditioning, and there's an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ grill, sun loungers and an outdoor shower for coming back from the beach.
It's one of the few homes in the area with its own pool, in a quiet neighbourhood where the loudest thing at night is the jungle.

Hillside quiet, beach close
The villa sits on Calle Cabo Velas in Playa Grande's hills, surrounded by dry tropical forest. You can see the Pacific from above the canopy, and the beach is five minutes or less by car. Tamarindo is a short boat ride across the estuary, and Liberia airport is about an hour.
Check-in from 4:00 pm, checkout by 10:00 am. No pets, and quiet hours apply out of respect for the neighbours and wildlife.
